TWELVE-YEAR-OLD IN SEMI-FINALS OF
IRISH WOMEN'S GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP
Lisa Maguire (Slieve Russell), only 12 years of age and the twin sister of Leona who won the Scottish Under-16 girls' golf championship at Craigielaw in early April, is through to the semi-finals of the Lancome Irish women's amateur championship at Lahinch Golf Club.
In the semi-finals, Lisa will play Marian Riordan (Tipperary) while Karen Delaney (Carlow) meets Maura Morrin (The Curragh), conqueror of Karen's younger sister Tara in the quarter-finals.
