GREAT SCOTS BOW OUT FROM JACKSONVILLE
UNIVERSITY GOLFING HISTORY
The final round of the Atlantic Sun Conference Championship marked the end of a great chapter in the history of the Jacksonville University, Florida men's golf team as the trio of Scots, Russell Knox, Duncan Stewart and Jamie Kennedy, played their final round together as team-mates.
"The golf course played tough all week, but I am very proud of how the guys played," said Jacksonville University head coach Jim Taketa.
"I know that the seniors are disappointed, but Russell, Duncan and Jamie have accomplished a lot in their careers at JU. It's going to be very hard to replace those three guys next year."
The Jacksonville University Dolphins finished their 2006-2007 campaign with four tournament titles, the most by any golf team from the college in the past 15 years.

For that the credit must go to the tremendously consistent Knox and Stewart – and the man who recruited them as “unknowns” from Scotland four years ago. To be fair, Jacksonville has been good to the Scots as well. They leave for home better, more-accomplished all-round golfers than they were as freshmen recruits.
