Six years in the making, at a total cost of £16 million and with more than a million tons of earth shifted in its creation, the new Ryder Cup course (pictured above) at The Celtic Manor Resort is on the brink of opening to its first golfers.
And YOU can be one of the first to hit the daunting opening tee shot that will confront Tiger Woods & Co when Celtic Manor stages the Ryder Cup in 2010. The spectacular new 7,493-yard, par-71 course will open for strictly limited play from July 4 this year, in advance of its official launch which will be held back until the new clubhouse is completed in the autumn.
A special preview package – The Ryder Cup Experience – will offer golfers a fantastic opportunity, for a limited period only, to play the dramatic holes of the new Ryder Cup course.
Tee times will be restricted to just 12 four-balls a day from July 4 to September 30 at a cost of £600 per four-ball.
