STIRLING STUDENT GORDON FINISHES
JOINT 22nd in PERU TOURNAMENT
Stirling University student Gordon Yates finished joint 22nd in an field of 64 in the the Martin Prado Cup international men's amateur tournament at Lima, Peru.
Gordon (pictured right) had rounds of 75, 76, 73 and 78 for a total of 14-over-par 302 - 18 shots behind the winner, Luciano Dodda from Argentina (74-69-71-70).
Yates earned the trip by winning the recent R&A Bursars' tournament over the Eden and Old Courses, St Andrews.
Another R&A Bursar, Edward Parker (Birmingham University), finished a creditable seventh in Peru with scores of 70, 71, 76 and 77 for 294.
