DUDDINGSTON WIN INTER-CITY CUP
Duddingston have become the first East club to win the Inter-City Cup, the brainchild of former SGU president Graham Ewart, which sees the best in the West play the Pride of Edinburgh annually.
Cowglen beat Kingsknowe over two legs in the inaugural contest last year.
This year it was Duddingston v Whitecraigs.
First-leg honours at Duddingston went to the home club by 6 1/2-2 1/2
Whitecraigs almost made up the leeway when it was their turn to have home advantage but their winning margin was "only" 5 1/2-3 1/2, which meant that Duddingston scored a 10-8 overall victory.
