LADIES EUROPEAN TOUR UPDATE

JULIE MAKES IT BUT LYNN, LIZ AND

CLARE MISS CUT IN PORTUGAL

 

Aboyne exile Julie Forbes made the 36-hole cut in the Ladies European Tour event at Oitavos golf course in the Estoril and Sintra region of Portugal today.

Julie had rounds of 78 and 73 to be joint 46th on seven-over-par 151 going into Sunday's final round.

Players with totals of 154 and over did not qualify.

They included Lynn Kenny (Brucefields Family Golf Centre) and Inverness-based Kiwi Liz McKinnon on 159. Lynn and Liz both scored 78 and 81.

Sarah Kemp (Australia) and Becky Brewerton from Wales share the lead at three-under--par 141. Sarah has scored 69 and 72, while Becky did it the other way round, 72 and 69.
