ONLY four of the 13 Scots taking part in the European Tour Qualifying School Stage 2 events at four venues in Spain will make it to the Final eliminator if they maintain their third-round positions over Tuesday's final 18 holes.
Raymond Russell (70) and Jack Doherty (67) are lying joint seventh on 205 at Lumine Golf and Beach Resort, Tarragona from where the leading 17 will progress to PGA Catalunya on November 10.
Neil Fenwick (73 for 211) is lying third and George Murray (72 for 215) joint ninth at El Saler Golf Club, Valencia where the top 17 will go forward.
Northern Open champion David Law found his form with a four-under-par 67 on the third day at Lumine.
That bogey-free, four birdie effort lifted the 22-year-old Aberdonian up to joint 35th place which means Law has to do even better in the final round to have a chance of being one of the 17 leaders who will go forward from this venue.
At present, the top 16 at Lumine are at six under par or better. Law is on three-under 210, so he needs to improve to a final total of seven or eight under par to keep alive his hopes of making it to the European Tour before he is much older.
Further behind Law at this venue are Paul Doherty, joint 49th on 213, and Elliot Saltman, joint 70th on 218.
At El Saler, Lloyd Saltman and Paul Ferrier are joint 27th on 219. Saltman had a third-round 74, Ferrier a 723.
Aberdour amateur Scott Crichton had a disastrous 77 at this venue and is now joint 36th on 221, eight shots better than Wallace Booth (78 for 229) in joint 65th spot.
The Stage 2 event at Valle Romano Golf, Estepona is running behind schedule after no third rounds were completed due to high winds. The fourth round will be played on Wednesday at this venue.
Paul McKechnie is joint 32nd and Calum Macaulay joint 59th at this venue.
Welshman Gareth Wright is walking a tightrope at Las Colinas Golf and Country Club, Alicante. He is in joint 17th place on 209 after a third-round 69. The top 17 will advance from this venue.
