SCOTTISH JUNIOR TOUR REPORT FROM FAIRMONT ST ANDREWS

Here are the results from the Scottish Junior Golf Tour event at the Fairmont St Andrews yesterday on the Kittocks course. Thanks have to go to the green staff of the Fairmont for having greens in such great condition at this time of year. It was a level  4 and 5 event including the Sussex county squad who were in St Andrews for the weekend.

On a day when perhaps golf should not have been played due to the very strong cold wind, no one managed a nett score in the buffer zone. All the youngsters showed great fortitude in completing the round. 

Colin Edgar, playing in the last group, staggered in nearly numb with the best score of the day with five over par 76. Murray McCrone led the Under 15s with 79.
