GERMANY-BASED PRO STEVE CRAIG WINS MIDLAND ALLIANCE EVENT

The Midland Golfers’ Alliance held the A. Herd Team Competition at Kirriemuir Golf Club in Angus. 

Steve Craig , Germany-based professional, shot a wonderful  five-under-par 63 to win the individual scratch prize by four shots from Edzell pro Alastair Webster.

 Gary Smith, who plays off six at Scotscraig, won the handicap prize with an impressive net 63. 

In the team competition three teams scored 58. Jim Meddicks (Murrayshall) (9), Davie Hutchieson (Murrayshall) (7) and Dennis Redford (Murrayshall) (10) came out on top by virtue of having a better last six holes.
