Stewart v Shields for Scottish
Under-18 boys' title

Saturday's 36-hole final of the Scottish Under-18 boys' amateur match-play championship at Southerness Golf Club on the shores of the Solway Firth will feature the title favourite, Michael Stewart (Troon Welbeck) against Paul Shields (Kirkhill).
Shields was first to claim one of the spots in the final by beating Oliver Huish (North Berwick), son of professional David Huish, by 5 and 4 in this afternoon's second semi-final.
In the first semi-final, the championship favourite, Michael Stewart (Troon Welbeck) was never behind in finishing two up on Aberdeen's David Law (Hazlehead). But Law took his more experienced opponent to the 18th green before admitting defeat.

QUARTER-FINALS
Michael Stewart (Troon Welbeck) bt Mark Bookless (Sandyhills) 3 and 2.
David Law (Hazlehead) bt Graeme McDougall (Bishopbriggs) 2 and 1.
Paul Shields (Kirkhill) bt Colin Baird (Bothwell Castle) 5 and 3.
Oliver Huish (North Berwick) bt James Ross (Royal Burgess) 1 hole.
SEMI-FINALS
Michael Stewart bt David Law 2 holes.
Paul Shields bt Oliver Huish 5 and 4.
