DAVID ORR WINS YOUNG PROS EVENT AT KINGSBARNS

East Renfrewshire's David Orr won a four-man play-off at the third exra hole of the PGA Scottish Region's new Linksland Series for Young Professionals at Kingsbarns Links today.

Orr, Craig Mathieson (Falkirk Tryst), David Blackadder (Kingsbarns Links) and Lee Harper (Archerfield Lilnks) had tied on two-under-par 70.

Archer was eliminated from the play-off at the second extra hole. A par at the next was good enough to earn the £324 prize for Orr.

The second event in the series will be held at Dunbar Golf Club on April 22.
