Graeme Lornie's "exciting new relationship"

Kings Links Golf Centre
adds new professional
to its team

The Kings Links Golf Centre has a new addition to its team of professionals in the form of North East golfer, Graeme Lornie.
Graeme, who replaces Steven Troup as the centre’s PGA trainee assistant, has also secured a sponsorship agreement with the Kings Links for this year’s Tartan Tour.
Lornie (27) will join fellow Aberdonian and Kings Links Touring professional Scott Henderson as professional representatives for the centre.
Having played golf since he was 14, Graeme turned professional in 2005 when he reduced his handicap to +1 and scooped numerous amateur title events in and around the North-east, including the Evening Express Champions of Champions and the top amateur spot at the Grampian International Freight Northern Open.
In addition to representing the Kings Links in this year’s Tartan Tour, Graeme is currently in Las Vegas playing in his first pro-am. Part of the winter PGA Pro-Am series, the Las Vegas Classic has seen Lornie play alongside two North-east businessmen and amateur golfers, Graham Thom and Bill Lamb, for a professional prize fund of $20,000.
Latest news: Graeme secured a top ten finish in a field of 26 professionals. His rounds were 82, 66, 80 across three different courses - those being the Cascata, TPC at the Canyons, and Las Vegas' Paiute Golf Resort's Snow Mountain Course.
Paul Girvan, director of golf at The Kings Links Golf Centre, said: “I feel Graeme will be a tremendous asset to the centre both as a coach and as a professional player. He is extremely enthusiastic, this combined with his experience and expertise will allow our customers to really benefit from his coaching skills.
“Supporting Graeme in this year’s Tartan Tour is a great opportunity for us to help one of the North East’s most promising golfers. Graeme’s dedication, sportsmanship and success are all qualities equally valued by The Kings Links. We are delighted to support Graeme with his continued success on the golf course and indeed help him to reach his ultimate goal of achieving a European tour card.”
Commenting on the sponsorship, Graeme Lornie said: “This is an exciting new relationship and I am extremely proud to be a part of the Kings Links team of professionals and indeed represent the centre at a national and international level. The Las Vegas Pro-Am series is my first international tournament representing the Kings Links and, along with Graham Thom and Bill Lamb who I would like to thank for inviting me to join them in the series, I am determined to secure a top spot result.”
The Kings Links Golf Centre, situated on Golf Road, Aberdeen (behind Pittodrie) is the largest independent golf retail centre in Scotland and boasts a 56 bay floodlit driving range on two tiers with carpeted bays and the finest quality mats and range balls. The award-winning 3000 sq ft superstore, stocks everything for the beginner to the seasoned golfer. Kings Links is operated by Craig Group Leisure, a division of global shipping and energy services firm, Craig Group.
