ONLY A FEW DOLLARS MORE FOR SCOTT
JAMIESON AFTER LAST-ROUND SLUMP

Catching up on last week's news from the NGA Hooters Tour in the United States ... Scott Jamieson was the only Scot to survive the cut at level par 144 in the Stoneybrook West Winter event at Winter Garden, Florida.
Scott from Glasgow was going not too badly with opening rounds of 72 and 69 but he fell away badly on the last day with a four-over-76 which cost him more than a fistful of dollars.
Jamieson came joint 33rd on 217 and earned "only" $1,079.
But at least he paid his expenses ... there was no cheque for compatriots Russell Knox from Inverness - now based at Jacksonville, Florida, or long-term Edinburgh exile David Kirkpatrick.
Knox missed the cut by two with a pair of 73s for 146 while Kirkpatrick was well off the mark with 75 and 78 for 153.
Irishman Sean McTernan from Sligo failed on 150 with 77 and 73.
Winner of the $14,506 first prize by two shots was New Englander Michael Welch with 65, 67 and 71 for 13-under-par 203.
Runner-up was Theo Potter from Florida with 64, 71 and 70 for 205.
