MIKE MACDONALD WINS NORTH ALLIANCE
OVER HOME COURSE AT FORTROSE

The weather was the principal winner in the North Scottish Golfers' Alliance fixture at Fortrose & Rosemarkie.
Early heavy precipitation gave way to a strong crosswind which dried the course and especially the greens, making low scoring difficult.
Scratch honours went to local club secretary Mike Macdonald who shot a 77. Allan Cameron (Inverness), one of the joint runners-up with Gordon Hay (Grantown), came home in best of the day 36 (one over).
There were 36 no returns from a field of 86.
