NEWS FROM FUTURES TOUR
BRENDA FAILS TO BEAT THE CUT
Belfast's Brenda McLarnon matched the par of 72 in the second round of the Duramed Futures Tour's Lima Memorial Hospital Classic at Lima, Ohio but missed one of the lowest cuts of the season. One-over-par 145 made it, but 146 did not not.
Brenda, a former student at the College of Charleston, South Carolina, saddled herself with an opening score of 79. Her 36-hole total of 151 was always going to be five or six shots too many on a short course with small greens.
Ji Min Jeong from Kyungki, Korea bogeyed the last for a 66 and a nine-under-par tally of 135. She leads by only one shot.
Six shots off the pace is Samantha Head from Bedford. She has scored 71 and 70 for 141 and a share of 35th place.
