Henderson leads Central Scotland Senior


Open with a 69 at Glenbervie

Hamilton's +2 handicapper Stewart Henderson leads the field with a two-under-par round of 69 at the Scottish Senior Golfing Society's Central Scotland Open at Glenbervie Golf Club today (Thursday).
Henderson was three under the card after 17 holes but bogeyed the very tricky 18th.  He also had bogeys at the first and 12th, but birdied the fifth, eighth, 11th, 13th and 17th.
One shot behind on the 70 mark are Robert Craw (Glenbervie) and Jim Devaney (Clydebank and District).

Craw bogeyed the third but birdied the
16th and 17th, while Devaney dropped strokes at the 14th and 15th, but  birdied the seventh, 11th and 16th. 

There are five players on 71, including Gary Tough (Edzell)
who was runner-up in last week's event at West Kilbride.
Robert Craw (Glenbervie) (2) and Jim Devaney (Clydebank and District) (2)  lead the handicap section with net 68s. They are one shot ahead of Bob Stewart (Tulliallan) (2) and Drew Weddell (Glasgow GC) (2).
