Troon's Jack McDonald moved up to within three strokes of the lead with a four-under-par second round of 67 for a tally of four-under 137 in the MENA Tour's Casablanca Open at Palmeraie Country Club, Morocco.

The Scot birdied the third, fifth, 10th and 17th in a bogey-free round.

Dunbar's Danny Kay, the leading Scot after the first round, dropped back to joint 16th place with a 73 for 142. He had only one birdie in his second round.
Youngster Daniel Hendry, making his debut as a pro, and Walker Cup hero Grant Forrest are sharing the 142 mark with Kay. Hendry has had rounds of 73 and 69, Forrest 75 and 67.
Forrest, a former Scottish champion, had six birdies, including the 17th and 18th holes.
