Paul and Craig Lawrie through to fourth

round of Sunningdale Foursomes

By COLIN FARQUHARSON
The father and son combination of Paul and Craig Lawrie (21) are through to the fourth round of the 83rd Sunningdale Foursomes.
They had a 5 and 3 win over Richard Hooper and Matthew Arbourne in afternoon third round today to be one of the last 16 pairs still standing at the Ascot course.
The Lawries will now play the all-female partnership of Linn Grant, whose father is a club pro based in Sweden,  and Martha Lewis.
The Scots will need to be at their best to win this one as amateur girls are given handicaps of four strokes each in this tournament. All professionals play off +1 so Paul and Craig will be giving Linn and Martha several strokes.
Paul and Craig are the only all-Scottish pairs left in the tournament.
Ross Cameron and Michele Thomson were beaten 3 and 2 in the third round by Graham Powell and Henry Smart who beat defending championship Marco Penge and Sophie Lamb in the first round.
James Bunch and Sandy Lyle also bowed out in the third round. They lost by 3 and 1 to Jack Senior and Bethany Garton.
