Hume and McIntosh trail in South American men's championship

Scotland's representatives, Barry Hume and Euan McIntosh are lying joint 39th and T56 respectively with opening rounds of 75 (three over par) and 77 respectively in the R and A-supported South American men's amateur championship at Buenos Aires.
Argentina's Marcos Montenegro is the local hero. He leads by four shots after posting a brilliant, seven-under-par 65
Ireland's Conor O'Rourke is the leading player from this side of the Atlantic. He is sharing second place on 69.
