.Stewart Henderson wins Bothwell Castle Quaich in stormy conditions

Stewart Henderson of Hamilton had his second success in two weeks by winning the Bothwell Castle Quaich in stormy conditions with two brilliant scores of 68 and 71. Such was the weather that the first round was reduction only and css 73. It did get a little easier in the afternoon and some good scores came in resulting in a 71 css.
Stewart who recently turned 50 won the South of Scotland Seniors Championship at Southerness and he has been a prolific winner on the Lanarkshire County scene for many years.
John Williams of Bothwell Castle won the handicap section with 67 71 138 off handicap five.
