Runner-up Scott Henderson has a hole in one

Kenny Hutton wins Musselburgh Challenge

Downfield's senior professional Kenny Hutton swooped with a final round of six-under-par 65 to win the Tartan Tour's 36-hole Musselburgh Challenge today (Wed).

Hutton won the last Order of Merit event of the season with a nine-under-par total of 133, having shot a 68 in th first round.

He won the £675 first prize with a bogey-free final round, studded with birdies at the second, sixth, 14th, 15th and 17th in halvges of 34 and 31.

Hutton won by a single stroke from Scott Henderson (Kings Links) who had a hole in one at the third on his way to a 66 (32-34) for 134 and the runner-up prize of £530

Greig Hutcheon (Paul Lawrie Golf Centre) (67-69) and James McGhee (Bishopbriggs) (66-70) tied for third place on 137 and earned £435 each.

Overnight leader Paul McKechnie (Braid Hills), who had won his last four tournaments in a row, came down to earth with a 74 to finish joint eighth on 139.
