Glasgow Youths Open Championship

The Glasgow Golf Union's Youths' Area Team Championship and Glasgow Open Amateur Youths' Championship were held at Ralston GC at the weekend.

The start was delayed till 08:45 due to mist but thereafter the weather was benign and the course in excellent condition. This produced good scoring. 

The Area Team Trophy was won by Glasgow A (Blair Dalgleish, Calum Fyfe and Alan Waugh) with a four-round total of 278. Second on 280 (better inward half) were Lanarkshire (Dominic Dougan, Andrew Thomson and Fraser Kane). 

Renfrewshire A (Jamie Stewart, Lewis Breslin and Matthew Dalrymple) also scored 280 but finished third on the countback.

The new Glasgow Open Youths' Champion is Dominic Dougan (Airdrie) with 66 and 67 for a total of 133.

Runners-up were Shaun Hedger with 135 and Calum Fyfe (Cawder) also with 135.
