PGA EuroPro Tour event won by Marcus Armitage


Paul Shields' tied 7th finish earns him £1,200

Paul Shields (Kirkhill) earned £1,200 as the leading Scot in joint seventh place in the PGA EuroPro Tour's Grenke Championship 54-hole tournament which ended at Cumberwell Park, Wiltside today.
Shields had rounds of 70, 73 and 66 for an aggregate of 209 - six shots behind the winner of the £10,000 first prize, Marcus Armitage (Howley Hall) who had scores of 68, 69  and 66 for 203.
Ellon's Ross Cameron, sponsored by Saltire Energy, and Jordan McColl (Kingsbarns), were the joint second best Scots on 213 and earned £375 each. Cameron had scores of 72, 7 and 70, McColl 70, 79 and 74.
The only other Scot to make the final round, Scott Crichton (Aberdour) finished joint 51st on 217 with rounds of 72, 70 and 75. He earned £282.
