Forrest in Carnoustie final but McDonald pipped by Frenchman at the 19th

It was almost an all-Scottish 36-hole final at Carnoustie tomorrow in the British amateur championship.
Grant Forrest (West Lothian) made it by beating Alexandre Daydou (France) by 4 and 2 after being 2 up at the turn in the first semi-final.
But Jack McDonald (Kilmarnock Barassie) bogeyed the 19th to bow out to another Frenchman, Romain Langasque. They had been all square through the closing holes of regulation play.
So it will be Forrest v Langasue for the coveted title.
