WELL OUTSIDE THE TOP-25 QUALIFYING ZONE

SCOTS TRIO ARE LONG SHOTS TO WIN

EUROPEAN TOUR PLAYING RIGHTS

It's not impossible but it is highly unlikely that Peter Whiteford, Duncan Stewart and Scott Henry will  finish among the top 25 and ties who will gain European Tour 2015 playing rights after the sixth and final round of the Final Tour School at PGA Catalunya, Girona near Barcelona.
In betting terms, the Scots could be considered long-shot outsiders.
None of the three got near to matching the Stadium Course's par of 72 in the fifth round  with Whiteford returning a 75 and Stewart a 74, both for level par 356.
Henry shot a 75 for two-over 358.
Whiteford and Stewart are joint 61st and Henry joint 75th.
Going into the final round, it looks like a six-under-par aggregate of 428 (or better) is the magic number that will earn a ticket to the Big League, which means that Whiteford and Stewart have to score 66 or better at the last time of asking while Henry needs a 64 at least.
This does not take into account what the other players will be doing. It's a safe bet that any of those who are within striking distance of European Tour membership will be trying their hearts out to get there.

SCOTS' SCORES
Par 356 (3x72, 2x70)
356 Peter Whiteford 77 66 65 73 75, Duncan Stewart 67 76 71 68 74 (T71)
358 Scott Henry 70 72 68 73 75 (T75).
