SCOT LYING JOINT THIRD IN US PGA TOUR EVENT

LAIRD IN THE MIX BUT GALLACHER

MISSES THE CUT BY A FEW

Martin Laird is well placed at the halfway stage of this weekend's US PGA Tour event, the Wyndham Championship - but fellow Scot Stephen Gallacher missed the cut by a few shots.
Americans Scott Langley and Heath Clocum lead the way on 130.
Laird is one of four men tied for second place a shot behind on 131. Marin has had rounds of 65 and 66.
Padraig Harrington missed the cut with a pair of 72s for 144 which put him T113 but Gallacher fared even worse. He missed the cut in T148 position after rounds of 71 and 76 for 147.
That Ryder Cup selection dream is fading.
