FORTY-TWO SCOTS SET OFF ON THE YELLOW BRICK ROAD

TARTAN ARMY CROSS BORDER FOR

PGA EUROPRO TOUR Q SCHOOL STAGE 1

A total of 42 Scots are spread over the four English venues for the PGA EuroPro Tour's Qualifying School Stage 1 on Wednesday and Thursday this week.
The exact numbers who will go forward from the 36-hole eliminating competitions at De Vere Slaley Hall, Formby Hall, Players Club and Woldingham to the 54-hole Final Stage at Frilford Heath GC, Oxfordshire from April 2 to 4 will not be decided until the Stage 1 events are under way.
Players have to pay a £250 PGA joining fee as well as a £175 fee to enter the Q Q-School.
On top of that, the entry fee for each PGA EuroPro Tour event is £250 - so it is a nice
little earner for the PGA.
Each 54-hole tournament on the PGA EuroPro Tour has a £10,000 first prize. The first five in its end-of-the-season Order of Merit table gains automatic promotion to the European Challenge Tour.
