MULTI-TOURNAMENT WINNER HEADS EARLY ENTRIES FOR PLGC TOUR

Trish Johnson ... a big-name boost for the Paul  Lawrie Golf Centre Ladies Tartan Tour

TRISH JOHNSON TO MAKE DEBUT ON

PAUL LAWRIE LADIES TARTAN TOUR AT

FAIRMONT ST ANDREWS

England's Trish Johnson, a winner 18 times on the Ladies European Tour and three times on the LPGA Tour in her years as a professional, has given the profile of the Paul Lawrie Golf Centre Ladies' Tartan Tour a boost by being one of the early entries for the first of five 36-hole events
on its schedule.
It will be a debut appearance on the tour which is now under the auspices of the PGA in Scotland.
Now 48, the former Solheim Cup and Curtis Cup player, is the biggest name so far to enter the tournament over the Torrance Course at Fairmont St Andrews on April 14 and 15. Another past Solheim Cup and Curtis Cup player, Becky Brewerton from Wales, has also got her entry in well before the deadline of April 3.

And the very latest entrants are two more   past Curtis Cup players, LET rookie and Edinburgh-born Sally Watson, playing out of Castle Stuart, and Ellon's Michele Thomson who also won the Scottish women's amateur title at Lossiemouth in 2008.
Other entries include former Scottish women's amateur champions Laura Murray (Paul Lawrie Golf Centre) and Heather Stirling (Dairsie, Fife), who also gained Curtis Cup honours, West Kilbride-based former England amateur champion Lisa Shervill, and Amy Boulden, a past Welsh amateur champion who helped GB and I win the Curtis Cup at Nairn in June 2012,
Each tournament has a guaranteed prize fund of £6,000 with the top 10 finishers earning from £2,500-£1,250-£750 for the first three down to £70.
Entry is open to all female professionals and to female amateurs with single-figure handicaps. Any amateur finishing in the top 10 will earn a  voucher equivalent to the cash prize for that placing, as long as the £500 amateur voucher value maximum
is not exceeded.

The Ladies Tartan Tour is supported by the PGA in Scotland, the Paul Lawrie Golf Centre and the R and A as well as sponsors of individual tournaments.
Order of Merit points are at stake in each of the five events. The professional player with the most points at the conclusion of the Tour Championship at Marriott Dalmahoy in September will win free flights to and accommodation at the Ladies European Tour School in Morocco.

PGA Professionals can enter through the PGA in Scotland website up to the deadline of April 3
