LAST EVENT OF PGA IN SCOTLAND'S WINTER SERIES

MANN,  WARDELL WIN AT MONTROSE

WITH BETTER-BALL, 10-UNDER 61

Carnoustie's Fraser Mann and Paul Wardell (Whitekirk) dovetailed very well in winning the last of the PGA in Scotland's Winter Series better-ball competitions at Montrose Links today.
They won the £500 first prize with a 10-under-par score of 61, achieved by birdieing the second, sixth, seventh, eighth, 1`0th, 11th, 13th, 15th and 18th in better-ball halves of 32 and 29.
Runners-up on 63 were the Paul Lawrie Golf Centre pairing of Greig Hutcheon and Craig Dempster. They earned £350.

63 Greig Hutcheon and Craig Dempster (Paul Lawrie GC) (£350).
64 Alan White (Lanark) and Ronan Rafferty (Roxburghe) (£250).
65 Stewart Savage (Dalmuir) and Craig Everett (Caldwell) (£175).
66 Neil Fenwick (Dunbar) and Gareth Wright (West Linton), Chris Kelly (Cawder) and Heather MacRae (Gleneagles) (£30 per pair).
