SHAUN McALLISTER NOW LEADING SCOT IN EUROPRO TOUR EVENT

Alex Belt will take a one-stroke lead into the final round of the EuroPro Tour World Snooker Association Golf Championship after a superb second round of 64 on Wednesday.
The Englishman from the De Vere Club scored a six under par round today at the Players Club near Bristol. Birdies at the second, fifth, eighth, ninth and 12th, along with bogies at the third and 11th, left him three under for the day going into the closing stretch. Belt then finished in style with birdies at the 15th, 16th and 17th to surge through the field. Having shot 67 in the opening round, he now stands at nine under par.
At last week's ABC Solutions UK Championship, Belt had a two-shot lead going into the last four holes, but then dropped five shots and finished sixth. This time he'll be looking to finish the job and take the £10,000 top prize.
In second place on eight under is Andrew Willey who shot 65 today, followed by Billy Hemstock on seven under. Edinburgh's Shaun McAllister tied Belt's low round of the day with a 64 and he's on six under.
Overnight leader Duncan Stewart, who won last week's EuroPro Tour event, slumped to a 77 and looks out of the running at one over par.
The final round is on Thursday.
