Fuell from Birmingham beats
young Aussie in Eden final

Birmingham scratch player Alex Fuell won the Eden Trophy tournament at St Andrews by beating 18-year-old Australian Sam Costa by one hole in the final over the Eden course.
Costa had beaten the last Scottish survivor, Kevin Duncan (McDonald Ellon) by 3 and 2 in the semi-final. Kings Norton member Fuell, 23, defeated Chris Harrison (Sandiway) on the 18th green.

Later results:
Semi-finals - A Fuell (Kings Norton) bt C Harrison (Sandiway) 1 hole, S Costa (Australia) bt K Duncan (McDonald Ellon) 3 and 2.
Final - Fuell bt Costa 1 hole.
