QUALIFYING LEAD IN ITALY

Scotland ended the first stroke-play qualifying round of the European men's amateur team championship in a triple tie with France and Sweden on 349 at Royal Park Golf & Country Club, Turin in Italy.
At the end of today's second 18 holes' medal play, the eight countries with the lowest aggregates (five from six players to count daily) will form the championship match-play flight.
