Richie Ramsay (66) leads Scots
in Irish Challenge event
Although Ireland's Michael McDermott stole the show with an eight-under-par 64 in the Challenge of Ireland, presented by Glasson, it was, by and large, a good day for the Scots at Glasson Golf Hotel & Country Club.
Ramsay had a 66 for joint third place. David Drysdale and Craig Lee were joint fifth on 67.
Scott Henderson had a 68.
George Murray and Greig Hutcheon had 71s.
Not so happy Scots were Lloyd Saltman and Steven O'Hara on 74. Both will need to break 70 second time out to beat the cut, so high is the standard of play.
