FLOODING STOPS MOORTOWN ACTION

RON MARSHALL REPORTS
Torrential rain suspended play just before 1pm in the third round of the Glenmuir PGA Professional Championship at Moortown Golf Club, Leeds.
PGA officials reckon the delay could last until at least 5.30pm.
Only nine of today's 28 pairings have completed their round, among them Uphall's Gordon Law, who finished in the worst of the weather. He signed for a 76, which included a triple bogey 7 at the final hole.
Craig Ronald, having stopped play at the ninth, is two under for today's round. He eagled the opening hole, dropped a shot at the second, but got it back at the 517yd seventh. The Carluke pro now lies in a tie for 10th overall.
