Ian has his senior moments on
home course at Dumfries

Local knowledge paid a big dividend for home-course member Ian Brotherton as he won the South of Scotland senior open amateur stroke-play championship at Dumfries & County Golf Club today (Friday).
Ian had rounds of 70 and 69 for a total of one-over-par 138.
Runner-up was Norman Cameron from Porters Park, Herefordshire with rounds of 71 and 70 for 141.
Overnight leader Adrian Donkersley from Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire faded on the second day to finish joint seventh on 143 with scores of 68 and 75.
Also on the 143 mark was Scottish seniors champion Bob Stewart (Tulliallan) with 71 and 72.
