Russell Knox loses
ground with par
70 in Tennessee

If you shoot par on the NGA Hooters Tour in America, you lose ground - as Inverness exile Russell Knox found out on Saturday in the third round of the $200,000 Kings Creek Classic, this weekend's 72-hole event on the satellite tour, at Spring Hill, Tennessee.
Florida-based Knox, pictured right by Cal Carson Golf Agency (all rights reserved), after rounds of 66 and 67, was in the top 10 in the chase for the $33,566 top prize but a third-round 70 over the 6,807yd par-70 lay-out dropped him down to a share of 18th place on seven-under-par 203.
Tommy Biershenk from South Carolina leads at 17-under-par 193 with rounds of 67, 62 and 64.
He is two shots ahead of Justin Smith from Pennsylvania and former Clemson University college golfer Bryant McKellar now back in his home state of Alabama.
David Skinns from Lincoln, like Knox a former US college circuit player, is in joint eighth place on 199 after rounds of 64, 68 and 67.
