Luke Goddard (Hendon) leads the quality field by three shots at the halfway stage of the Lytham Trophy at Royal Lytham & St Anne's.
If Goddard, the first-round leader with a 66 - he had a 71 in the afternoon for 137 - were to falter over Sunday's final 36 holes, there are at least two Scots within striking distance.
Gavin Dear (Murrayshall) and Bryan Fotheringham (Forres) are lying joint fourth on 141. Gavin has scored 71 and 70, Bryan 68 and 73.

Nine Scots survived the halfway cut with 36-hole totals of 147 or better.
