Anglo-Scot Gordon Brand junior, a Ryder Cup player in 1987 and 1989, rolled back the years to tie with David Orr (East Renfrewshire) for individual victory in the Teddy Bear Foundation Invitational pro-am over the Ailsa course at Westin Turnberry Resort today
Both players came back in 33 to share the spotlight on three-under-par 66. Both also parred the last hole when a birdie would have been a tie-breaker.
Brand is attached to Marriott Hollins Hall Hotel, six miles north of Bradford in Yorkshire.
No individual prizemoney is divulged by the sponsors at this event.
Euan Little (County Tipperary) led the SPM trio of amateurs, Ian Gillies (handicap 6), Ian Malloch (18) and Malcolm McLean (9) to victory in the team event with a net score of 13-under-par 125.
