Black Mountains Open is first
Celtic Pro Tour weekender

The Celtic Pro Tour creates another first at Garnant Park, Wales this month, with its first weekend event.
Garnant Park Golf Course is at Ammanford, Carmarthenshire (SA18 1NP).
The Black Mountains Open is a 36-hole tournament teeing off on Saturday and Sunday May 17 and 18 over the only council-run course on the Tour schedule.
“We are delighted to be hosting the first Celtic Pro Tour weekend event and I'm sure that local golf fanatics will come out in force to see some quality golf," said Vince Mosson, manager of the host club.
Last year’s winner at Garnant Park was Asian Tour professional Craig Smith (St Mellons), and another high-profile winner is expected.
“Although we still don’t know the full field, the quality is once again extremely high and we are expecting some excellent golf next week,” said Rhydian Thomas, tour director.

The Celtic Pro Tour comprises three satellite tours – the expanded Dragon Tour which involves 11 tournaments in Wales, and the Thistle and Shamrock Tours in Scotland and Ireland respectively, with four events staged between them.
