US Tour pay cheques for Sim and Laird

Adam Scott wins US Tour
play-off after losing lead

Adam Scott was a relieved man after sinking a 50-foot birdie putt for a play-off win over Ryan Moore at the EDS Byron Nelson Championship on Sunday.
The Australian relinquished a three-shot lead on the final day but clinched victory at the third extra hole.
"I lost my lead early and it was a battle. I kind of got away with it - it was a bit lucky," said Scott, who carded a final-round 71.
"Even in tough conditions, to let go a three-shot lead doesn't sit too well with many people, and that goes for me as well.
"Ryan played well enough to win. Fortunately, I had a pretty good buffer on him."
Scott holed a nine-foot birdie on the 18th to draw level with Moore, who carded a 68, at seven under - four shots ahead of Bart Bryant.

The two Scots in the field both survived the cut and made money - Aberdeen-born Michael Sim, who emigrated with his family to Australia when he was seven, and Glasgow-born Martin Laird.
Sim is striving to win enough money in the half-a-dozen events he has been allowed in lieu of missing the early part of last year's US PGA Tour, his debut season after, like Laird, finishing high enough up the Nationwide Tour money list to qualify automatically for promotion to the "Big League."
