Angus Under-14 boys put through their paces

Calum McKay wins with 73 at Ashludie

The Angus county boys' under-14 squad held their first coaching day of the new season at the weekend - a two-hour session on the practice ground at Monifeith followed by some putting lessons and a round of golf on the Ashludie course.
The squad (from left to right in the above picture) consisted of John Miller, Luke Ireland, Calum McKay, Ross Dallas, Ally Bremner, Gareth May, Harry Clark and the team manager Alex McKay (who sent in the picture and news).
A stroke-play competition was held on the Ashludie course and was won by Calum McKay with a scratch 73 (better inward half). Ally Bremner won the handicap with a nett 64.
++If you are a county or district junior convener, it's up to you to follow Alex McKay's example and send in your news, with an image if possible, to Colin@scottishgolfview for publication on this website.
