NORTH AMATEURS HEAD PRIZE LIST

IN SCOTTISH GOLF UNION AM-AM

Scotland youth cap Philip McLean from Peterhead led the Airlink team of Blair McKellar, David Roinegan and Douglas McConwell to victory with a two-ball net score of 140 in today’s Scottish Golf Union am-am sponsored by DSL over The Duke’s Course, St Andrews.
McLean, himself, scored a four-over-par 75 in tricky conditions which were completed mastered by Bryan Fotheringham from Forres. Bryan, pictured right, took the individual honours with a brilliant round of 67.
Mervyn Eagle of the sponsors’ team had a hole in one that was counted as a par 3 at the 16th hole. He lost a ball off his first tee shot – and then got an ace with his second ball.
