MONTY AND WARREN: NOW IT'S OFFICIAL
THEY WILL BE SCOTLAND'S CUP PAIR
It's been confirmed today that Colin Montgomerie and Marc Warren - who were only a play-off away from winning the World Cup of Golf last year, are to be Scotland's pairing again in this year's tournament in China.
Ian Poulter and Justin Rose will reprsented England.
Rose was second with Paul Casey as a partner behind South Africa in the 2004 World Cup at Kiawah Island. Poulter's previous appearance was in 2001 in Japan.
Wales' 2005 winners on the Algarve , Stephen Dodd and Bradley Dredge, are reunited in a bid to regain the trophy.
Ireland will have to qualify after Open champion Padraig Harrington opted out of the event and the next highest-ranked players - Graeme McDowell, Darren Clarke and Paul McGinley - are all outside the world's top 100.
So far, 18 countries are in the draw, with 10 more teams to follow.
The $5m tournament takes place at the Mission Hills Club, in Shenzhen, from 22-25 November.
South Africa's two-time US Open champion Reteif Goosen and Canada's 2003 Masters winner Mike Weir, will announce their partners in due course.
Spain will be represented by Mission Hills course designer Jose Maria Olazabal, who has already selected his close friend, Miguel Angel Jimenez.
The host nation will be represented by veteran Zhang Liang-wei, the first Chinese golfer to win on the European Tour, and Liang Wen-chong, the most recent player from China to win in Europe.
Arron Oberholser and Sean O'Hair take up the United States challenge.
The World Cup will be held in China every year until 2018 but has lost its six-year association with the World Golf Championships.
