FIFE WIN FRANK THOMSON
BOYS' TROPHY
AT GLENEAGLES
Fife won the Frank Thomson Trophy boys' team golf tournament today over the PGA Centenary course at Gleneagles after the usual venue for this annual contest, the Queen's Course, was ruled too wet for play.
The boys played off the front tees but they were faced with the same sort of shot that the professionals had on many holes in the recent Johnnie Walker Championship European Tour event.
The event was played under handicap Stableford with the best four scores counting.
