CIARIAN THIRD AT DELAWARE COUNTRY CLUB
Ciarian McAleavey from Banbridge, Northern Ireland - a student at Toledo University - finished joint third in the Earl Yestingsmeir Invitational college tournament at Delaware Country Club's par-70, 6,438yd course.
McAleavey scored 69, 68 and 71 for two-under-par 208, two shots behind winner Grant Leaver (Austin Peay State) with 68, 68 and 70.
The Irishman could have won but for a double-bogey 6 at the second and a bogey at the 18th.
Toledo (842) won the team event from Eastern Kentucky (846) with Detroit (848) third.
