England v Denmark for European boys' team title

SCOTS BOYS BEAT WORLD CHAMPIONS SWEDEN
TO EARN A REMATCH WITH NORWAY

It was Scotland v Norway for the title 12 months ago in the European boys' team championship.
On Saturday it will be Scotland v Norway once more in this week's championship in Denmark, but this time they are playing off for fifth place.
The Scots rose to the occasion to beat Sweden, recent winners of the world boys' team championship in Japan, 3-2 today.
Victories in the singles by the classy James Byrne, Michael Stewart and Paul Shields turned over a 1-0 deficit from the foursomes.

Meanwhile, at the top of the tree it will be England versus Denmark for the title. In the semi-finals today, England beat Netherlands 5-2 after sharing the foursomes 1-1 while Denmark beat Italy 5-2 after leading 2-0 from the foursomes.
