JOURNAL CUP FOGGED OFF AT PORTLETHEN
The North-east District inter-club team championship for the Journal Cup, scheduled for Portlethen Golf Club today, had to be postponed because of fog. The greenkeeping staff had the course playable despite the amount of rain in the previous 24 hours but the fog closed in on Portlethen and the visibility was too poor to permit play.
The tournament has been rearranged for the same venue on Sunday, August 12.
