HESLIP WINS SHORTENED ANGUS STROKE-
PLAY CHAMPIONSHIP

Chris Heslip (Monifieth) won the abbreviated Angus County Golf Association men’s stroke-play championship at Letham Grange today. Due to wet condition of the Old Course, the competition was reduced from 36 holes to one round over the No 2 Glens course.
Heslip shot a four-under-par 68 to win by four shots from John Gardner (Royal Montrose).
The leading players qualify for the Angus match-play championship on Sunday, July 29.
