DOAK HAS A ROLLER-COASTER RIDE ON
CHALLENGE TOUR IN FRANCE
Former Tartan Tour Order of Merit winner Chris Doak had a roller-coaster ride in the third round of the AGF-Allianz Open des Volcans, this weekend's European Challenge Tour event, at Golf des Volcans, France.
Doak had a third-round 74, three over par for the 7,110yd course, which included a triple bogey 7 at the par-4 12th, a double-bogey 7 at the long 2nd and a bag of six birdies.
Going into the final round, Chris is in joint 22nd place on 218 - 11 strokes behind the three-shot leader, Gareth Padison from New Zealand.
The only other Scot among the qualifiers, Ed Thomson is back in joint 65th place on 227.
