GREG PATTERSON LEADS SUTHERLAND CHALICE

This weekend's 72-hole SGU men's Order of Merit event is the Sutherland Chalice and Greg Patterson (St Andrews) has set a halfway clubhouse target of eight-under-par 132 with scores of 68 and 64 over the par-70 course at Dumfries & Galloway Golf Club.
At the end of the first round, Patterson had been one shot behind three joint leaders, Jonathan King (Glasgow), Peter Latimer (St Andrews New) and the man-in-form, Wallace Booth (Comrie), winner of last week's Cameron Corbett Vase and the Tennant Cup a fortnight prior to that.
